¡Hola Amigos! Soy la maestra de español. I am excited to be the Spanish teacher at International Studies. This is my fifth year at International Studies. I also taught Spanish at Jonesboro Pre-K Center for three years and have been in education for over 15 years. I am looking forward to the school year and getting to know all the news students and seeing familiar faces as well.
I have a son who is in 6th grade and a daughter who is in 4rd grade at International Studies. My husband is a professor in the Biology Department at Arkansas State University. You can find out a little more about what he does at his website: http://www.boveslab.com/. My whole family enjoys the outdoors, music, and traveling.
I first learned Spanish while living in Venezuela as a freshmen in high school. I have traveled extensively in South America and have visited Bolivia, Peru, and Chile. I have also traveled in Costa Rica and Spain. I have also traveled in Europe as well including spending a month in Greece last summer. I am interested in exposing students to the culture of each Spanish speaking country around the world. If you have any questions, feel free to email me using the link below.
